The "Wai Ora" or "healing waters" spa regime is firmly based on the unique Maori culture of New Zealand including the signature New Zealand Wai Ora Traditional Massage and the natural hosting or "Manaakitanga" of our People. A unique blend of Maori and Thai therapies... as well as traditions.
Welcome to the unique world of "Wellness" of "Wai Ora Spa" the New Zealand Cultural Spa experience now in Bangkok, Thailand. The concept is based on the internationally famous Hellsgate and Wai Ora Spa from Rotorua, New Zealand that currently hosts over 100,000 visitors annually from all corners of the world. (www.hellsgate.co.nz)
As New Zealand's only cultural spa experience, the "Wai Ora" (a Maori word meaning 'healing waters') therapies are based on the waters and geothermal muds from the 60 acre Hellsgate geothermal reserve, used by the local Maori Ngati Rangiteaorere for over 700 years, as well as the traditional healing and massage techniques of the Maori.
This spa regime has been combined with a number of the world renowned Thai spa therapies, particularly the Thai massage techniques along with the superb hosting of visitors that both Maori and Thai people are famous for.
Signature therapies carried out by our specially trained therapists include the traditional "Wai Ora" Massage- a full body massage based on elements of Miri Miri, the traditional massage of the Maori; the "Wai Ora" Facial - a five step therapy, as well as the "Wai Ora " Body Scrub, Mask and Lotion - a three step therapy. All therapies use the geothermal muds and natural essences of New Zealand.
These therapies along with 3 hot mineral pools, infra red deep heat saunas along with the traditional Thai massage and other Thai therapies are available in the New Zealand themed spa facility at 1022 Sukhumvit Road, Soi 42/1 (within the "Tee Off" Golf driving range at Prakanong) providing a unique spa experience in the heart of Bangkok.
